Elephant Rock Nature Park is a beautiful hideaway for those seeking a quiet escape from the pressures of everyday life or those just wanting to relax in nature. Nestled within 210 acres of Ozark woodlands, Elephant Rock Nature Park is laced with hiking trails and beautiful overlooks of Oklahoma's crown jewel of waterways, the Illinois River. Elephant Rock also provides private access to the river along with peaceful, shaded and clean campsites. Guided treks and float trips are available as well. Experience the Illinois River on a float trip in your choice of a six-person raft, two-person canoe or a kayak for one. In addition to campsites, you can stay in your very own yurt. These lodging units are round, tent-like structures that provide all the luxury of a cabin and can accommodate up to six adults. Each yurt features air conditioning and heating, a full kitchen complete with cookware and utensils, a bathroom with a shower, two full-size beds and a full-size futon. An outdoor living space is included as well, offering a picnic table, hammock, grill and a fire ring. Elephant Rock Nature Park also offers use of Red Bud Lodge, a 5,500 sq. ft. lodge that can accommodate up to 30 people. The lodge features a private two-acre yard area, which is close to the river and close to nearby Tahlequah.
